The city of Rollingwood Texas is located just a few miles outside of Austin and thanks to the quick highway access available in Rollingwood it takes almost no time to make it downtown. Thousands of residents have found that commuting to Austin from Rollingwood is incredibly easy and convenient because of this and due to the popularity and convenience more and more people have been moving into Rollingwood and other surrounding areas.
Unlike many communities in Texas Rollingwood is relatively young; Rollingwood was originally founded and developed in the 1950s which makes it significantly younger than most towns in the area. Overall Rollingwood is a very conveniently located city that offers plenty of benefits to attract residents. The city is quite small compared to others in the area but due to the residential nature of the area it is more than adequate; there are also plenty of nearby cities and towns that offer great shopping and other necessary businesses and jobs. Obviously being just down the road from Austin is a big bonus as well because there are thousands of jobs and businesses located downtown. Rollingwood offers the best mix of quick and convenient access to the city along with a little bit of seclusion thanks to the slight separation between Rollingwood and downtown Austin. Definitely take a look at Rollingwood as very few other cities or neighborhoods offer the quick downtown access while still being just far enough away to be somewhat separated from the big city.
