The origins of Pantego were built on loyalty and friendship. Prominent politician and former soldier, Colonel Frederick Foscue, is regarded as the first developer of Pantego. He had a trusted Native American friend, Pantego, who was tragically murdered. He honored his friend by naming a school after him, and the city then formed around its establishment.
If you're not careful, you might pass right by Pantego. The city is only one square mile and is surrounded by Arlington and Dalworthington Gardens. This means you get all the benefits of living in a large suburb in addition to the unique atmosphere of Pantego. The city has its own government body, police force, fire department, and other public services that provide residents with security and comfortable living. Much of the city's activities are located at the city's Bicentennial Park. Pantego takes pride in its manicured walking trails, wading pond and even seasonal concession stands. The city hosts holiday events here as well. Bicentennial Park doubles as private event locations for residents to reserve at their leisure. Pantego is zoned into Arlington ISD public schools, and also has Pantego Christian Academy nearby. Residents can choose from these or other educational options in surrounding districts. If you are interested in furthering your education, the University of Texas at Arlington or one of the Tarrant County Community Colleges are short distances away.
The quality of living in Pantego is higher than both the state and national average. This is in part because residents are in the middle of one of the most popular entertainment districts in Texas. Local attractions include the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers stadiums, Six Flags Over Texas, Hurricane Harbor, and several retail areas. A short ride puts Pantego residents in the heart of Downtown Dallas or Fort Worth, where they can visit museums, historical sites, and more points of interests. Working professionals benefit from Pantego's location as more than 50% of residents have a commute of less than 30 minutes. This added convenience gives your day added flexibility and less traffic hassle.
Singles, families, and retirees will enjoy renting in friendly Pantego. There are 16 communities available for rent. As a prospective renter, you can look to pay from $250 and up, however, median rent is around $1,003. Considering Pantego's premier location this is an amazing price that comes with many built in advantages.
