Sunset Gardens is a gorgeous low-income housing development for seniors who meet HUD requirements. Each apartment comes complete with a variety of conveniences, including wall-to-wall carpeting, walk-in closets, mini blinds, and ceiling fans. The kitchen comes complete with a dishwasher, a frost-free refrigerator, and a pantry. Short-term leases are available for these one-story apartment complexes. Pets are allowed with an average deposit and an additional monthly "pet rent." There is also a weight limit of 20 lbs for pets. Sunset Gardens is conveniently located near Kate Baker Park, Rosebud Park, and Richland Hills City Park. The apartments are in an area that requires a car for many daily errands and other tasks, which is an important consideration for many seniors. There is, however, a clubhouse on-site for socialization and other gatherings, brightening up the days of many residents and giving them the opportunity to spend time outside of their apartments without travel.
