Dakota Lofts

Dakota Lofts is Houston's oldest loft building. It was build in 1911 and converted to lofts in 1992. It is located on the Northeast edge of Downtown Houston, or the NODO area. It is a quick four minutes by car to be downtown. There are many parks within walking distance. The Harris County buildings are only one-half mile away. The University of Houston and the Theatre District are nearby as well as shopping and restaurants. The area is somewhat walkable, but public transportation is nearby. There are also excellent bike lanes in this area of the city.

Don't let the fact that the building has a history give you the impression that it is not modern. From the moment you walk into the lobby, with its in-house art gallery, you will know that this building with a past also has an exciting future. The building is four stories and contains 53 living units. The apartments range in size from 800-1,700 square feet. There are a free laundry, fitness center, private access basement parking, and beautiful views of downtown Houston.

True to loft style, the living quarters have 10' to 12' ceilings. You will also enjoy the wood floors, granite kitchen counters, and the oversized bathrooms with garden tubs.
